I can’t look at this. It makes me feel very embarrassed for these kids.

I can’t stop looking at this. I don’t know if I like it better with or without the music. Either way, phenomenal. Hard to believe that it only has 3 million views.

Scratch 3 million. It’s just over 1. I was looking at the 15 years later video. I wonder if that’s really the same people. This will require some research.

          Otis! You’re alive!

The 15 years later guys have nothing on these kids. Looks like a weak imitation at best.

Alright, I have never watched the video in context: with the frog song. That is pretty awesome. I retract my nay-saying.

For my 10th birthday party I remember me and my friends dancing to this remix version of “What’s Up?” (song here: http://youtu.be/F6ssTIPyWps). All I can say is I am so so so very glad that youtube did not exist because that could have been me and my friends. We all had flashlights and played this song like 10 times and went insane. I believe I also received a Hootie and the Blowfish CD that year. Jeez. Listening to it and watching the gif, those kids could almost totally be dancing to “What’s Up” –HA.

    You should really watch this

Maybe everyone except me already knows this, but I found out that the movie funky monkey actually exists. I found this description of it on the internet:

The story is about Alec McCall, a spy, who teams up with Clements, a chimp, to save the day. He has a change of heart when his boss, Flick, turns out to be bad and wants to perform experiments on the monkey. These experiments are to create monkey soldiers for the highest bidder. McCall takes Clements away on the run to his hometown where they meet a genius boy named Michael. Michael wants to impress a girl by playing on the football team. The coach (Jeffrey Tambor) allows him on the team only if he tutors the star players who are on the brink of being kicked off due to bad grades. Meanwhile Flick sends his goons out to find the monkey. Michael’s single mom, a computer programmer, has her eye on McCall. After the goons fail to get the monkey, Flick goes to get Clements himself by breaking in and poisoning Clements and Michael. Flick takes them back to his headquarters so the doctor can perform his experiments. McCall rescues them and they head back for the Homecoming football game. Michael hopes to play in order to impress the cheerleader he likes. Soon the bad guys show up and dress as football players to play in the game and get Clements. Clements and McCall join the team to stop Flick from winning. Michael wins the game and Flick is arrested. Michael gets the girl and McCall gets Michael’s mom. The movie ends with hope for the future.

They’re bringing this rock and roll into my park and siphoning off my fun!

In 1978, Kiss came out with a direct-to-TV movie called Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park (also known as Kiss in the Attack of the Phantoms). I really want to see this movie.

Apparently, the entire thing takes place in an abandoned amusement park (not in the movie – in real life) and the band plays themselves (a group of rockstars/superheroes). Basically, this movie is X-men meets scooby doo, but with Kiss. In the movie, I found out, Ace Frehley (aka Spaceman) has the ability to teleport and shoot lasers, Paul Stanley (Starchild) has mind control (and also laser powers), Gene Simmons (Demon) has super-strength and fire breath (with lasers), and Peter Criss (Catman) has “leaping powers” (no lasers!). So obviously the band chose their own powers, but Pete was passed out at the time. Probably from smoking too much catnip (off a hooker’s tit, I bet).

    Look-alike question

    Hello everyone,

Here is a chance to settle a long-standing (for like more than 24 hours) dispute between Susie and I.

Does Breckin Meyer look like Noah Wyle?

To keep things scientific, try and give your answer from 0 (they don’t look any more alike than two average white middle-aged actors) to 10 (they are the exact same person with two different identities).

Here is some internet evidence to help you with your decision:

On the imdb movie forums, ‘TrmptSweetie2004’ writes:

I get them confused in some movies…if you don’t know who he is..look him up and check out his pics on google. I didn’t even think that he looked like Noah, but i see how they do look a lot a like. 🙂

However, ‘claired80’ from the Noah Wyle Fan Board disagrees, posting:

One supposedly ‘look-alike’ I never understood is Breckin Meyer??? Some people seem to say he soooo much looks like Noah, and I even saw one website posting a picture of Meyer with his kids saying it was Noah (before someone commenting corrected the blogger ::) ). I really don’t get it at all…

    Breckin Meyer + Noah Wyle

Those pictures are pretty misleading, because they do look somewhat alike there. But let’s go to the video evidence:

      4.5 at best.

      5.3 is my vote.

The pictures you chose do make these two look a lot alike. However, the evidence provided by the other blasters shows that these two are not even brother-similar, let alone twin like. I’ll give the similarity a 4.357.

Taylor has claimed in the past week that you all agree with him, and I can’t argue! Notice in Taylor’s phrasing that 0 corresponds to Noah Wyle and Breckin Meyer ” (not looking) any more alike than two average white middle-aged actors.” Using such a scale, your answers of between 4 and 5 would at least put them of the category of “cousin-similar.” I demand a re-vote! Common guys, get your head in the game! Your numbers say yes, but your words say no. My vote is a -1. They look so dissimilar that they could be spawn of different species.
